Ablutions Spa Body Butter
I love it when I find a new product that is affordable, smells great and feels wonderful and this new liquid Body Butter from Ablutions Spa fits the bill.
History:
Owner Monica Shelton contacted me while I was in the middle of my move and I added her to my "get back to later" file and I'm so glad I actually got back to her! A former spa owner and esthetician, Monica created this line of organic and natural-based products because she noticed that although women enjoy being pampered at the spa, many lifestyles don't fit easily into an actual trip to the spa (can we say MOMS!!)
So, as most beautypreneurs are wont to do, she started concocting her own recipes and trying them out on her clientele. Not only did they enjoy the products, but they appreciated the pricing. And as you beauty divas on a budget know, price is everything.
Product:
Organic Anti-Oxidant Body Butter, 4 oz, $16
As you know, just about every body butter on the market is a nice, deep tub of greasy balm that you slather all over your skin. As a sensualist, I love it, but sometimes change is good. When I got this bottle in the mail, I just kept looking at it to make sure that the label was right. Body butter in a bottle?
It's fabulous! It's tasty and I want more. I tried the Thai Coconut Milk and Lemongrass and it reminded me of my favorite Thai soup (but without the chicken!) What it's even better about this butter, is that five minutes after putting it on, my skin felt soft, smelled great and wasn't greasy. Can you beat it!?
Pros:
* It's very rich, so a little goes a long way
* The smell is divine!
* Does not leave you slick and greasy
* An affordable body luxury
Cons:
* Not available in an 8 ounce bottle
Overall:
I am very pleased with this hand blended body treat and the idea of body butter in a bottle is sure to be picked up by another company. Although Ablutions sells an Organic Belly Balm for the pregnant chicks, I would suggest that you try this product first.
As a holiday treat, buy some of the Gift Rituals for the bath junkie in your life. They are pack full of great organic or natural-based products, come in a re-usable gift bag and won't leave you broke. Stay tuned for more reviews from this new, handmade company and check out Monica's site at ablutions-spa.com.

Mmm, these sound divine.
