I love when readers who win giveaways get back to me and report thier results. Two recent readers won some samples of REN and offer these reviews.
F10 Enzymatic Smooth Radiance Facial Mask, $37
Review from Susan M.
I primarily use enzyme masks to exfoliate since I cannot use a scrub (fragile skin). I found the REN mask very sticky in application, after using the mask according to the directions, I felt my skin was the same. Usually you will have a glow or clarity to the skin after an enzyme mask. I used it on 3 different occasions and still the same. I did look up some reviews on makeupalley.com and it appeared that was the consensus. One reviewer stated that you had to use it religiously in conjunction with the other masks to get results.
Omega 3 Overnight Lipid Renewal Serum, $60
Review from Emi S.
I've been using the Ren Omega 3 Overnight Lipid serum at night since I received it, and I have mixed feelings about it. I've been trying to wean my skin off a heavy nighttime moisturizer because night is when the skin is regenerating and renewing, and I don't want to overload it with products (it's kind of like not eating a heavy meal before going to bed). I've been told it can be aging and can make the skin "lazy" and "sluggish." So I've been spritzing on my toner first and then putting a little of the serum on top. It's quite nice and I think it's good for dry skin. In fact, I've gotten to the point where I don't need to put it on every night anymore. Just when I feel like it needs a little boost.
My one complaint - I don't like the smell. It smells kind of fishy. Seriously. Like fish. A Ren representative told me it's the algae, but I swear it smells fishy to me.
