This is a review of a product that's not organic and not all that natural. I'm reviewing it because it worked. Plain and simple. Let me tell you how this happened: I get quite a number of emails a day and sometimes I'm paying attention, and sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I reply back without checking out the website, and sometimes it's just a pitch and no website and I make a mental note to Google the line. Yeah, like that mental note happens. This is what happened when I tried Intelligent Aesthetics. I got the email, saw some good keywords and replied... and forgot. Until the box arrived at my door.
What a fortuitous offering was this box. I admit it, I was a PMS freak. Oily skin, chocolate and salt cravings and a raving bitch on wheel ( or Crocs, in my case.) I opened the box, saw that it was The Balance Kit and immediately took it into the bathroom. Sometimes it happens like that -- you're a greasy, hormonal mess, with a big pimple on your face and the cure you need just appears at the door. If only this happened when I need a new pair of $800 Christian Louboutin Mary Jane's. But I digress...
So knowing my face had been somewhat neglected, I scrubbed up with the Oatmeal Cleanser. It felt so good, I decided to try the Pore Cleanser. I was a like an addict trying to get a fix. With an oil slick for a face and hormones at top manic tier, I was in a hurry and I couldn't get the damn safety tab off and almost fell in the shower. Thankfully, I was able to use the razor handle to stab a hole in the tab and didn't kill myself; don't try that one at home.
It was face washing ecstasy. It was like I could feel the oil being sucked out of my face. So then I washed my entire body with the face wash. I was having fun, ya'll. This went on for about two weeks. Then I looked at the product. I read the ingredients: it's not organic and while it has some natural ingredients, I wouldn't put it under that category. But dig this: it works! My greasy face with PMS zits disappeared within three days after using this product. It was the first time in the history of my period that my face didn't break out.
The moral of this story: sometimes a product does what it states and you forget the beauty rules. And you can believe I'll be using it again next month, and every month after that until it's gone. It's under the same category as my watching "America's Next Top Model." The guilty pleasure that brings me joy... and in this case, oil-free skin! Share the guilt with me.

Don't give up on finding organic products that work. I just tried a new completely Organic and pure skin care line "Marika Du Rietz Real Skin". My skin has never felt and looked so good ever. I will never go back to using non organic or chemicals on my skin. I started with her "Beauty Rest" a night oil and noticed already the next morning that my skin was completely clear and I had much less fine lines around my eyes. Marika's beauty oils has also a day oil with natural sun protection and a really cool Breast oil that firms and clears the decolletage.

This sounds like a bit of a life saver! Too bad it's not organic/natural, but at least it works.
