What will you find here on The OBE?

I've been writing this blog for almost two years and it has changed a bit over the years. So every once in while I like to give an update to the readers of what you can expect to find here.

1. Yes, it's called The Organic Beauty Expert, but you'll find a bit more than organic here. Most of the products mentioned or reviewed here are organic/natural, I'll say 90 to 95%. The other five percent includes fashion, lifestyle and opinion. That also includes some products that are no where near natural, but still might have floated my boat. Let's face it, we do the best we can to stay green, but sometimes, you know...
2. Some stuff ain't organic OR natural...oh well. Sometimes, especially when it comes to hair care products for blacks, latinas or mixed race people, it is more important to me to put out information to that segment.  If you don't fall within that area, that post won't be for you.
3. Every once in a while I post my personal opinions. Be aware, I am NOT politically correct and I let it all out. For those of you who notice my "edge" it won't be shocking.
4. Feel free to leave your comments or email your article suggestions. There are lots of beauty blogs out there. Lots of green beauty blogs. If you don't like my style, please Google some of the other blogs. The reason I don't write editorial posts is because I like to express my opinions. I don't write rhetoric, I check with objective sources and just because I like the PR person, it doesn't stop me from saying the line is a waste of money. If you write, I'm open to getting your articles and if you disagree, I love to hear your comments.
5. Lastly, it's all about fun, yes? Listen, it's a beauty blog. I ain't going on Oprah and I don't espouse from on high. I try to check with sources and I attempt to fact check, but life happens and when all is said is done, this blog is a labor of love, not my full time money maker. Matter of fact, it's because I'm such an honest bitch that I have lost some ads. Knowing this, I still keep it real.

I hope this clears up what to expect here. A little edge, a little knowledge, some news about products, fashion and the industry and hopefully a smile and a laugh or two.
