Green Beauty Video Reviews are posted... again

Okay... with some really abrupt editing, I was able to get this segment on my YouTube channel. Yay! Hopefully, I'll be updating more than once a month so I don't have to rattle on.

Green Beauty Review is back for 2009 :: Aveda Enbrightenment, Kiss Down Under, Shave the Planet & Lavilin Deodorant cream

I love doing these video reviews but life has been pretty hectic and finding the time to sit down and semi-coherently post the reviews has been challenging at best.

So now I will endeavor to post GBR on a monthly basis and any more than that is gravy. I did state that my goal is a semi-coherent clip -- and wouldn't you know that in this clip I state I review Shave the Planet from LUSH... but I forgot! SO here's the review:

It's typical LUSH and a fun gift for your man. For $29.95 he gets a small sample of Cosmetic Lad facial moisturizer (so he'll stop using yours), a 3.5 oz jar of Shave the Planet shaving cream, Business time massage bar (which smells so yummy and edible that you'll actually WANT to massage him and perhaps more...) and a bar of freshly scented Bamboo Soap that you should snarf before he uses!

It's a fun kit and he'll be really happy with the super hero wrapping paper it comes in. My husband was like a little kid and still has the paper saved... he said for our son, but I think otherwise.

Eco-Me Kits

When I received the notice about Eco-Me I was intrigued, thought it was a great idea. Hey, I started as a DIY indie beauty company. Then I researched a bit more and really paid attention to what I'd be getting. While the idea is cute, there's not enough bang for my buck here. Make it truly DIY -- supply everything I need, not just an essential oil blend and an empty jar. They're on the right track, but after you buy this once, I really don't see the need to buy it again. Anybody bought it and just can't live without it? I see a better bargain in just "doing it yourself" without buying this kit.

PooPourri Spray Review

I love this product and think every guy or gal needs to have one with them. A few weeks ago I drove two hours north to Beverly Hills, drinking lots of coffee... Needless to say, by the time I made it to Barney's, a green girl had to go use the loo. How happy was I that I had a bottle of PooPourri Spray in my bag? Or rather, how happy was the chick that walked in the stall after me?

From there, search for Green Beauty Review in the Fashion & Beauty section of Arts.) After just a few reviews, Green Beauty Review is New & Notable and is a Featured podcast. Yes, the reviews are  cheesy and I'm often laughing out loud at my own jokes after numerous "takes" and I can't pronounce many of the company names and/or products, but I really enjoy the connection the video reviews offer and obviously, so do some of you.
